Carrier.

Read and listen to everything Scott Carrier produces. On hearing voices, an NPR radio journalism show, his segments are experimental, sometimes hilarious and sometimes heart breaking. I just finished reading his collection of short stories, many of them inspiration for his radio stories, and It has quickly become one of the best things I've read all year. This man is an original. He also happens to be a professor at my school, a fact that eluded me until about half way into his book. Buy "Running with Antelopes." The hitchhiking story in which he travels from SLC to NYC with a hundred bucks to his name is phenomenal. It will make you want to hit the road.
