Kubrick's Napolean.

Kubrick's follow up to 2001 was to set to be a biopic of the rise and fall of Napoleon. And get this, it was to star Jack Nicholson and Audrey Hepburn. After two years amassing inspiration, 30,000 photos, research, costuming, and piles of notes, another Napoleon film tanked. Kubrick was forced to scrap his doomed opus.

In Napoleon: The Greatest Film Never Made, a massive case houses ten smaller books with all the above stated research. It is books inside books, like a boys secret carved out Bible. It's nearly 3,000 pages dedicated to a film that was canned.

Taschen has produced only 1,000 copies in this limited edition. Christmas please. $700
